About Me

Hi, I’m Mallory Bacon, quasi-blogger. I started my blog just for fun, but my second post ever (5 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Shop At Aldi) went immediately viral with over 3,000,000 views. This certainly caught me by surprise. I don’t think I was prepared for the time and dedication maintaining an active blog takes! I didn’t expect to have a following right off the bat, but all of a sudden found myself with thousands of subscribers. A few months later and about 25 blog posts later, I found myself a little burnt out. I was also pregnant with our second child and we were in the process of buying our first home.  So… all that being said, that’s why I have no recent posts. I would like to get back into blogging, but with two very young children and two jobs, I don’t have much time these days. However, feel free to peruse my old posts! I don’t claim to be a financial expert by any means; I’m in the trenches with you all trying to figure out how to best manage our resources. I’m just here to share things I’m learning along the way on this tumultuous journey called “Budgeting”.

As mentioned in the above bio, I currently am not actively blogging. But I can still be reached at mallory@baconsonabudget.com or through my contact page (see tab in menu above).

Thanks for stopping by!

I need to learn to budget. I admire you and appreciate you sharing tips. I have always been overwhelmed by the super couponers, night never could justify the time plight into the prep and time in the stores. Your app referral is efficient and Aldis is very do-able for me. Blessings to you!
